Michael, that was from a research report posted yesterday.
Check out the Cypress investor forum on the corporate website... 206.170.145.25
This is the response from Dan McCranie...

" Several references have been made on message boards today to a Bank of America commentary indicating that CY management is "comfortable" with Q3 sequential revenue growth of 20% and a EBG estimate of 0.64.

Is this true ? if so, were any comments made about Q4 or FY2001. "

" Thanks for your posting.
1) Cypress is comfortable with the average revenue / earnings estimate as stated in First Call, which calls for a revenue increase of about 12%, not 20%. The EBG number of $0.64 is at the high end of the First Call range. We don't have enough wafer fab capacity to execute a 20% growth in Q3 2000...that's why the guidance has been toward the 12% revenue number for Q3.
2) I spoke to Whittington (B of A analyst) today, but we never talked about a 20% revenue increase for Q3.
3) We did not specifically talk about Q4, but we remain comfortable with the analyst estimates that are out there for Q4 2000. "
