Someone at QCOM is always ahead of me with these licensing agreements. Today's announcment with Handspring is a major event for the mighty Q. I would expect to see similar agreements with Palm in the near future, based on the number of recent OS developements between QCOM and COMS.

As for the laptops, I don't think we have to give away anything free. Jacob's has proved to be the single best contract negotiator since Gates and his team. I'm sure they will prevail. Nonetheless, it is great to see QCOM enter it's 3rd market - cell phones, telematics, and PDA"S.

Imaging the market penetration for CDMA going forward in the US.
