I admire Nixon for having the courage to extract us from the Viet Nam war, despite those who wanted it to continue at all costs. Kennedy got sucked into believing that communism must be stopped at all costs. Johnson was trying to end a war that he inherited by blowing the shit out of 'em, hoping to bring it to a quick end. Westmorland duped him into believing that massive force would do it. McNamera gave poor advice also. It is the advisors that should shoulder much of the blame. Del
