There are literally thousands of accountants who could do
a comparable job. You don't have to be a genius to be a
capable accountant. The reason Hopkins is being paid a
fortune is that McGinn will be able to say that he got the
best money could buy when he screws up once more.
In this time of crisis and it is a crisis LU needs a CEO
like Andy Grove or Craig Barrett, both have advanced science
degrees and understand today's complex technology. Hopkins
doesn't. McGinn's legacy will be a study in every business
school. He started with more assets than all the others
combined and failed abysmally.
