Hi Gregory Mullineaux; Okay, if the "Commercial Times Web site" reported this garbled information (presumably about a replacement for the SDRAM to RDRAM converter), then how's about a link to that web site?

I was unable to locate their site.

Greg - Re: "The Intel chip, called a Memory Protocol Translator, replaces an faulty part introduced this year that set back the No. 1-ranked processor maker in its plans to start production of the Timna system chip during this year, the report said. "

Oh boy, here we go again !

Intel "renamed" that damn chip - and hopefully "fixed it", but it still sounds like a kluge.
