Joe,

<There is no such thing as a mobile Duron,>

Yes there will be. For segmentation purposes I expect a Mobile Duron to ship with PC133 and Mobile Athlon to ship with DDR (mostly).

<On subject of notebook CPUs, I think AMD claimed PowerNow will be available across the notebook lines. I think this feature would be useful in all CPUs, including Desktop and Server. I think 99% of all computers are candidates for being in automatic power saving mode. As I type this, the CPU should slow down to a crawl, and should use only a fraction of the power. Think how much energy could be saved if about half a billion computers out there use 5 Watts of power rather than say 25 Watts.>

I agree with the philosophy. In practice this may or may not work out - especially at the high end. The tradeoffs made for true mobile chips and true high performance chips at implementation level tend to be quite different.
