Dear Chic: We have discussed the UltraSparkIII ad infinitum on this thread in the past. If you listened to the CC or would go and listen to the replay you will find that it is being TESTED, TESTED, TESTED (scotts words). It is my opinion that when it is released THIS FALL that it will take the world by storm and actually lead to upgrades of many existing SUNW customers NOT to mention new customers (if there is anyone LEFT who is not already a SUNW customer). What I like best about all of this is stock is moving nicely without it, the day they announce the release BOOM another BIG JUMP will occur in the stock price. JDN

"..I also think it's messed up how you guys think they will be rolling out the low end first with the USIII. "

I think this comes directly from Zander during the conference call - USIII will first appear on Workstations, Low End Servers and then High End 72 Way E10K Replacement. Unlike IBM, Sun has a huge Workstation business and floating point performance is probably a bigger issue for single or dual CPU workstations than they are for larger multiprocessor systems.
