Eric The K - Re: "However, the rational explanation for Intel charging twice as much for the 1.13 GHz versus the 1 GHz "

What the H*LL are you yakking about?

Intel DOESN'T CHARGE twice as much for the 1.13 GHz as the 1 GHz Pentium III !!!

Why do you keep acting like a COMPLETE IMBECILE ?

Intel priced the 1.13 GHz at $990 - the ECACT SAME PRICE as the 1.0 GHz Pentium III when it was introduced.

What DELL charges for the their PCs is DELL's BUSINESS - NOT INTEL's !!

Eric, <However, the rational explanation for Intel charging twice as much for the 1.13 GHz versus the 1 GHz part is an attempt to make sure that the exceedingly low volumes of this part are exceedingly irrelevant because so few customers actually want to pay for it.>

Well duh. It's called supply and demand.
