hb, for analysts to tout u.s. productivity over everybody else is absurd w/o mentioning the u.s. accounts for productivity in a significantly different way. a way that boosts productivity metrics by 100%+...

You can also skew the GDP and productivity numbers if the federal government is on a large spending binge. Much of that spending was Y2K related.
