<In short, he was picked because he's one of those moralizing, religious sc**bags Rarebird despises and, obviously, could never vote for.>

I don't live in the realm of hate and hostility, as you do. It's true that Lieberman's religious values are not mine. But so what? I respect the way in which he practices Judaism, as a Modern Orthodox Jew. Who am I to judge Joe Lieberman's religious values? He certainly doesn't judge mine and he has no intention of imposing his moral and religious views on anyone, like the Moral Majority desires.

I think you need to get out a little bit and interact with other people who possess different viewpoints than your own. There are countless people who are in their 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's, who are bullish on the US stock market. Sure, they disagree with you. So what? If you were free enough and not a prisoner to your convictions, you could've learned and profited from their analysis too.

There are elements of Truth in every genuine religious point of view. One of the features I look for in a genuine religious point of view is the sense of humility that can openly admit that it's faith may be wrong and which refuses to set up at a closed plaform of "We" vs "They", as the "Moral Majority" does.

PS Gold is going nowhere until a "hard landing" becomes apparent to most traders/investors/money managers.
