Re covered calls, my ongoing education has been at the school of hard knocks <gg>. The bible for options players is McMillan On Options. I am told it is a difficult read, but that it covers all aspects of derivatives in a comprehensive, and technical manner.

A quick search at amazon.com came up with Stocks for Options Trading : Low-Risk, Low-Stress Strategies for Selling Stock Options- Profitably, a recently published book that's received 5 stars in readers' reviews. The title sounds promising.

You might search SI for threads that focus on covered calls. I found 1 board, but it appears to have drifted from its charter and become a general options trading thread.
