Ticker, this is the "pseudo polymer"(my words) that Lev referred to in the CC. It's a more expensive design to manufacture so I think they have gone on a foray to Mexico to avoid the Irish workers( pay scale). A "winding" technology of the old style, a la Li ion but juiced to avoid fireworks.

OT to ticker: you've got it right, the pseudo-lithium-polymer cells aka 'gel cells,' will ooze if punctured. In the NRI (Nomura Research Institute) report from last year, they mentioned the problem, and showed photos of some of the cells, torn apart to show their insides.
