CSCO is a bell weather...that's why I follow it...when the momentum down I short it overnight...it's the one stock that will never gap up enough to hurt me...I will almost never short overnight. IBM, DELL and CSCO are the only stocks that I will risk shorting overnight. I didn't think that CSCO would miss the pro-forma earnings numbers this quarter...I was more interested in seeing the CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS OF OPERATIONS and how they looked. I think when the disappoints come to CSCO they will be found there. But, never spoken of...wink wink. I trade stocks that have average daily ranges of 10-20 points. EXTR, CREE, NUAN, AETH...those are the stocks that I daytrade most days. CSCO and the futures really move my stocks on days with no news. Cree for example has been very week of late. Sold off from 160 weeks ago to the low 80's just last week. The dead cat bounce/short covering brought it to 111 yesterday where it sold off to a close of 104. I wouldn't over night it long in a million years but I would bet that a piece of crap like that would gap and fade with the csco hype if it doesn't have any news of it's own. You see it every day...crappy little stocks like the ones I listed up gap and fade...gap down and bounce...what ever...they do follow the futures to some degree...Although I rarely trade CSCO, DELL, MSFT and INTC I have to follow them. I post here as a hobby, mainly to bug the longs of the board. I laugh at how they love CSCO stock...how they are sooooo sure that it will continue to make them rich...I post here to get under their skin...they always say they have me on ignore but I continuely get responses from them all...they can't help themselves....they post here to help pump there little "super stock". They can't let me attack CSCO...they won't talk about the CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS OF OPERATIONS, they attack me instead. I truly don't care though...I find it very very funny....That's my hobby...I know they can't stop...they have to pump their stock. They can't let people like me come here and expose the other side of the story... At any rate, we will see with in the next week if CSCO once again proves to be a better short then a long at $70. I know that if I was planning on holding for years I wouldn't buy it at $70. More like $30-35.... 11 cents earnings CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS OF OPERATIONS Bams P.S. I admit I hold no position in CSCO. How about those AMAT numbers....not bad....
