Mike,

Nigeria was scary -- Luckily, we found that dirty magazines worked as good as cash there with all the numerous border guards and roadblock strongmen. ".....and what do you have for me???" was how you were greeted by many of these imposing men in uniform casually slinging automatic weapons around.

Re: LR. They have very positive cash flow and are paying down debt steadily. From a recent press release:"...The debt has been reduced by over $80 million since our spin-off from Harris Corporation in November 1999. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2000, the debt was reduced from $678 million to $650 million."

I don't think it's the worlds greatest company, but it's being priced like it's going out of business tomorrow.

Michael,

I seem to recall you at one time mentioning CTV as a company worth picking up on the cheap. I have had my eye on it as it has made its way earthward and today was some fairly intense selling. It seems a bit overdone at this point, even a bit irrational. Do you have any thoughts on that one at this juncture?

I have been keen to learn something of the activity in TIE, but there appears to be no word in the wind. The large blocks suggest someone is convinced that something exciting is shortly to happen.

regards ++

MB,

VASO and TGX are getting "no" respect lately. Must be a buying opportunity. <g>

Back to the drawing board. We were ready to put some of my daughters IRA money into VANGUARD PRIMECAP and the fund is closed to new investors. I looked at the fund and you are correct it looks good for the long haul. I am getting ready to just put her into some income instruments until evaluations get back to normal. Do you have any other thoughts?

TIE finally getting some respect...I finally am above water in this rascal...it has been a struggle. <g>.
