What is your position on:

(a) Limiting the amount of an award the attorney or attorneys can charge? In Florida, the attorneys representing the state got a multi BILLION dollar share of the award. I believe it was like 2.7 billion of an 11 billion dollar award. (The numbers are not accurate but approximately represent the facts)

(b) Punitive damages are an award to punish the wrongdoer. Why should those not go to the state or public coffers for the good of all? Why should a plaintiff or attorney receive a windfall from what is effectively punishment?
