Mani, >Yesterday I said the order should not go over $3.2 Billion, they came in at $3.28, very nice!

On the negative side, the official estimates ran as high as $0.74 for EPS and $3.4 Billion for booking. The booking increase was only 11% sequentially.

I am not sure if AMAT can convince the street the cycle is not close to being over. We'll have to see.

Well, the analysts asking the questions on the CC seemed pretty impressed by AMAT's quarter. No "tough" questions that management couldn't handle, and every answer was very positive. No hedging, hemming or hawing. It sounded much like Cisco's yesterday, and Sun's (second hand on Sun). Still, the climate, atmosphere, mood, whatever, for semis has been crummy. Like you said, we'll have to wait and see.
