AMAT and CMOS are both up in after hours. ANEN and AZPN, ELNT, ADRX, MANH, AVCI were among the longs today. Applied Materials (NASDAQ:AMAT) and Credence Systems (NASDAQ:CMOS) manufacture semiconductor equipment and report 8/9/200 and 8/10/2000 respectively. The Street expects AMAT to earn $0.68 and CMOS to earn $0.75 for the quarter. The companies are being closely watched by analysts for indication to the overall health of semiconductor industry. Other equipment makers to watch include Advanced Energy (NASDAQ:AEIS), Brooks Automation (NASDAQ:BRKS), Lam Research (NASDAQ:LRCX) and Novellus (NASDAQ:NVLS).
