Black Holes vs. Light

>>The internet is the instrument of erasure I'm afraid. Not, me, not the US, not Russia, or anyone else. The internet will promote English-only, and kill all the plurality and color. Do we propose little them parks where children can watch aboriginals from all the world? That seems grotesque.>>

Cosmic:

You should be an expert on this stuff.

Try looking at the bright/light side of things.

Just like the power of an energy-taking vortex in the heart of a black hole, the internet will erase/take/disempower only to the extent to which individuals diminish themselves relative to the collective.

But there's a far greater force which is upsetting this black hole - and all it takes is a collection empowered individuals acting from their own sense of joy to arrest/stop this energy-taking energy in it's tracks wherever it may be going on.

FEAR is an illusion.

Love is massively, massively more powerful. Light/love disarms those who are fearful, distrusting and unforgiving.

The world as we all know is a worn out disconnected tapestry of broken trust, fear and unbelief among individuals who huddle together to find comfort amidst misery and shared experiences of challenge, hardship and pain.

I believe we are moving massively away from this Old model of pain/fear to a New Model of service, hope, light and joy.

We are at the ground floor. Amazing time to be alive!!

Peace.

.

"The Internet will promote English-only"??

The Internet will promote English as the lingua franca. A lingua franca does not displace other languages; it simply provides a common medium of communication, as Latin did in the Middle Ages in Europe.

English has already served as a lingua franca in a number of areas of the world, notably India. Many moons ago, when I was living in New York City, I had an Indian roomer, with the name of Harold Rodriguez. Harold was from Goa, the former Portuguese colony. And when his Indian friends used to visit him, they all spoke English together, since they had no other language in common. It was totally incomprehensible Indian English, of course. <g>

Speaking of India, there is a country with innumerable distinct ethnic groups, each with its own language, customs, & culture. Yet it is my impression that ethnic conflict has always taken a back seat to religious (Hindu/Moslem) conflict.

Soorrry!! "them parks " should have been "theme parks" as Kid Rock correctly surmised. Though "them parks" is also, strictly speaking, what I meant. We go watch "them". Still grotesque.
