Hi lorrie,

Speaking of "gravitas", Joe Lieberman's been on the Gravlox circuit telling of his new idea for a campaign bumpersticker that might appeal to the NRA crowd....."Lox and Load-2000".

BTW&FWIW, there's some dispute as to whether it's cajones or cojones, with the editors south of the Rio Grande more likely to go with the latter, or possibly maracas, in the racier press.

As an aside to 'all-of-the-above', do you think this Harken Energy thing is going to cause any tsuris for Dubya?

TTFN, Ray

Yes, the choice of Cheney was calculated. But the type of calculation is at issue. Cheney "feels" like a real choice, not a headline grabber. It is true that Leiberman has gravitas, and is not a fool, a big advantage for the Democrats. But no one really doubts that his name would not have come up if they had not been desperate to counteract Cheney............
