I tend to agree.

It seems likely that Mustang has x-64 instructions.

It makes sense to me to introduce it with mustang.

It would be a brilliant move as systems would kick butt for 32 bit apps and software apps would diffuse in over time for Sledgehammer next year.

The only thing i can think of is msft s/w support for x86-64.

Surely will be interesting conf call.

Man, this sure is interesting. It is not like AMD to hold conferences like this for their technology, unless they are coming out a processor that same day. Hopefully we get some mention of OS support for X86-64, even if it is only Linux initially.

I'll be dreaming of Microsoft X86-64 support tonight. ;)
