Philip - Re: "what ever happened to Tom Kurlack?"

When he "left" Merrill Lynch, he joined Tiger Management, a hedge fund operated by Julian Robertson, who Kurlak new - or worked for - when Robertson was at Merrill.

Apparently, Kurlak is/was still an analyst at Tiger.

Tiger management more or less shut down their hedge fund about 6 or 9 months ago - due to a spate of very poor performance over recent years. A small staff was still employed to "manage" Robertson's personal money - and Kurlak may still be there - I don't know for sure.

I guess Kurlak isn't bright enough to manage his own money.
