Having NO BACKUP plan was the REAL problem - as well as sticking with RAMBUS for over 1 1/2 years beyond the point where RAMBUS benefits were difficult - if not impossible - to demonstrate - was the second problem. However, Intel seems to have seen the error of its ways - the i815E looks like a life saver. Now, if Intel can get SDRAM - and DDR SDRAM support for the Pentium 4 within 9 months, they will be on a fast track to recovery. Paul
