Hi gruetz:

Telecoms that are still in their money losing phase
are much more sensitive to interest rates than banks.
If we have a hard landing with a recession lasting,
say 18 months, banks will make less money, and may
be hit with losses for 2 or 3 quarters, but their plight
will be trivial compared to telcos that are already
losing money in good times. What we really need is a
soft landing followed by a first interest rate cut
(or perhaps just the perspective of it) and we'll be
off to the races.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy

Wow! ICGX just got sliced in half. Good thing for
us that SW probably does not own this one.
