Steve: OT: I bought my Nikon 990 through buddy at Gateway for $889 delvd. If you would like his number message me. I have to say that it is a great camera. pretty much a no brainer. I carry mine on a daily basis and always shooting. And the nice thing is..if the shot doesn't work, delete it and go on. Took a shot on the Tarmac yesterday and the jet was faster than I was ......oh well! Love those CF cards. As Art and others have mentioned , the Nikon 950/990 series are power hungry. On a previous post I mentioned the Maha battery pack that I use and never have run out of power since the purchase. Ron
