That being said, Intel has kind of marshalled its friends and foes in server-land behind IA-64. I don't think one or two of them would mind supporting AMD if they thought AMD had a good implementation and a decent shot at sticking around for a long time. Eric, I don't disagree with your premise. I was hoping that SUNW was one of them (Intel friend or foe) given that its CEO is a maverick. SUNW is definitely the leader to challenge in the server world.....besides it's on a roll. ted
