>> send me back to Jan in his/her time machine so I can sell all my Qcom at 190!!!!

My dear friend, if I didn't know how large your portfolio is, I'd have more sympathy for you. As it is, your current net worth is probably larger than 9 out of 10 on this board. But while they are eagerly plotting to grow their fortunes, you're wasting precious energy bemoaning the reduction in yours. Rather than looking at your peak in January '00 and feeling badly, why don't you compare your current position to mid '98 when we first met, or 1Q99 after Dell crashed? It may help put things in perspective for you.

This board is dedicated to devising strategies and picking stocks that will lead to our future prosperity, freeus. Keep you eye on the road ahead instead the rear view mirror and join us if you dare <gg>.

freeus=biggest G&K whine baby. We all took a hit. Yes, if we had only sold all long positions and bought short positions. If bullfrogs had wings they could fly!

Buy the way, QCOM is developing a bit of that light springy fealing like an airplane about to take off. It seems to me like forward looking European companies should realize that with first to market advantage in the US, Korea, Japan, canada etc for 1X MC and HDR, content may well be where the real money is at. The value chain will provide and patent innovative applications using the pipeline of 3G wireless transmission. This value chain will grow up in the US and Japan and Korea--but mainly in the US. Thus, by focusing on the pipe which is DS CDMA over 1X MC, the Europeans are buying themselves a permanent disadvantave in content intellectual property---and that's where the money will be going forward-- proving once again that socialist buracracies shoot themselves in the foot when they compete with free economies that allow the free flow of ideas, money and business deals. Look how well DoCoMo has done with their I-Mode content in Japan which appearantly doesn't use hyperlinks but works like a tree branch -- and thus would never be loved in the hyperlink savy US community of kids that grew up on PC internet use.

Time to buck up, my dear, and stop wallowing. We can learn things about ourselves through investing. I know I have and it's not a pretty picture <GGG>! Personally, I think you have no real interest in LTB&H, nor, for that matter, the Gorilla Game. You like the thrill of momo! That's OK, as long as you're ready to take your lumps when they come.
"I feel good when my stocks go up and bad when my stocks go down" is going to age you fast, girl!
Cheers, anna
