Which foreign countries are producing US economic stats?

Obviously, the same ones that are "massaging" economic stats concerning THEIR nation's trade and economic interaction with the US.

Btw, why is it when a nation produces better than expected economic results, they are inherently corrupt because they don't agree with your analysis?

I don't believe these results are produced in a vacuum, Tom. They are based upon quantifiable data that has been used for decades through periods good and bad.

The only issue I might see is how the datum might be inadvertantly ommitting potentially important variables, such as the impact of stock options upon wage inflation.

But productivity is pretty easy to gauge Tom and particularly difficult to spoof on a month by month basis. Using weekly and monthly wage statements the wonks figure that so many hours worked + cost of overtime "/" by units produced = productivity.

Pretty simple.

Ron
