Thread- You sure couldn't tell by engineering/construction firm, International Fibercom, that there is some kind of problem with SP spending as WS touted over the last few weeks. Remember IFCI divides their revenues between telcos and cablecos. IMO, sure doesn't appear to be any problems with either SPs upgrade plans. -MikeM(From Florida)

More Than $248 Million in New Infrastructure Development and Services Group Contracts Since January 2000

International FiberCom Awarded in Excess of $48 Million in Contracts

PHOENIX--Sept. 19, 2000-- International FiberCom Inc. Tuesday announced that its Infrastructure Development and Services Group has received more than $48 million in new contracts from leading telecommunications service providers for the installation of fiber optic networks in both the Eastern and Western Regions of the United States.

These contracts are in addition to the more than $200 million in network design, engineering and installation services contracts the company has announced since January 2000, bringing the combined total of contracts secured this year to more than $248 million. It is estimated that the work will be performed over a 12-month period.
