I tend to give little credibility to RMBS info that comes from the press, message threads, or Intel competitors. VIA falls into one of those categories. RMBS stock has an established pattern that goes back many years. 1) Intel and/or other major players actually producing product publicly state/demonstrate that Rambus is the future of memory 2) RMBS stock rises 3) Low credibility sources say Rambus is dead 4) RMBS stock price falls 5) repeat the cycle

I agree with Dave, Bilow. 'Everyone' doesn't just say something to 'pull the bulls' tails.' I don't. Statements like that do serious damage to the credibility of your other posts.

Bilow: I know its already been said...and yesterday's news. But, I too, am disappointed by your false posting of the i840 rumor. A lot of bogus info is posted on these threads. No doubt. We all know it. Indeed, we all have a right -- of sorts -- to post our opinions as we see fit (so long as it meets GNET's rules). A lot of crap will fit nicely under that umbrella. That said, freedom of speech is one thing, but crying 'fire' in a crowded theater (which is somewhat akin to what u did -- believe it or not) is beyond the bounds of decency let alone legality. Fwiw, I am long RMBS (have been from the teens)...and generally find your posts interesting...if not entertaining. And though I appreciate your admission that it was, indeed, fud...I do hope u leave this little fiasco with at least a mild understanding that what u did was wrong. And not a joke. I suppose this isn't just a lesson for u, but for all of us. Me included. Cheers.
