Re: Irresponsible/Ignorant. Also, SAN's + Baloney

Agreed. I've noticed that anytime I read something in the press on a subject that I know a little something about, I find that it's usually loaded with mistakes.

Given this, I have to assume that ALL articles are loaded with errors, and it's just because I don't know enough about the subject to recognize those particular errors.

That all being said, here's an interestingly titled article, over at ComputerWorld:

Skittish Users Say Hype About SANs is 'Baloney'

But some corporate IT managers don't buy it. They look at SANs and see a risky, immature, expensive technology with interoperability problems, according to three studies and interviews conducted with a dozen users.

Buyers may sympathize with the IT manager who complained that "there's so much smoke and baloney around SANs, it's impossible to know what's real."
