FOMC? You are right in calling it a nonevent. Market already knows there's no way Greenspan is raising. If anything, expect a sell-the-news. I don't see how this has anything to do with the JDSU/SDLI spread.

i suppose.
at the very least, the uncertainty will have been removed.
but ultimately, of course, it's about the deal closing.

meantime though, there's bound to be a lot of whining and
negative sentiment over it.
