The July sales represented a 128% rise from the same month a year ago. TSMC said an increase in wafer shipments, strong customer migration to advanced 0.18 and 0.15 micron process technology and price adjustments were the main reasons behind the sales gain. In the first seven months of 2000, sales rose a year-on-year 120.1% to T$79.934 bln, it said. (Reuters 01:00 AM ET 08/09/2000)
