>>>The last time there was a situation like this was Jan98 and Oct98 both of which resulted in massive upside moves.<<< good observation, i have been looking at the market this year as one that has gotten way out of phase and since the march nas top there has been a kind of arbitration between the so called old economy stocks and the new economy stocks and now they appear to be meeting in the middle as pointed by your moving averages on nasdaq and the triangle on the dow.
