Joel: How are you doing? I'll try to give a worthy answer...

First of all, I was/am talking about the 30-Yr Treasury Yield...I should have been more specific.

My stuff helped me call the Oct 98 low as a significant turning point for the TYX. I was also expecting a top in the TYX in Dec 99. I was early by a few weeks. The TYX has been moving down since January 00. So, until the downtrend line (green descending line) is penetrated to the upside, I continue to look for lower 30 Yr Bond Rates. The TYX has recently rebounded at previous support the April 00 pivot point. It may well retest the falling resistance line...

Of course, with the Fed hikes, the bottom line to Mortgages and consumer borrowing instruments has hardly followed suit. One should note, the TYX headed up during the last Fed easing and has now been heading down as the Fed tightened.
