CDMA2000 does not separate the subchannels within one 5Mhz, in fact they overlap, and one should at least ask the question what happens to the neighbouring 5Mhz bands. Yes they overlap, but since it is using a little OFMD so the overlap is not matter. As for the neighbouring bands, since it is using 3.68Mhz so that leaves better guard band to both side. In fact that's one of the strong arguement against 4.08 Mhz proposed by the WCDMA before they changed it to 3.84Mhz.
