The Chandler, Ariz., microcontroller firm said it expects second-quarter sales and earnings to come in above Wall Street expectations. The company anticipates earnings of 50 cents a share for the September quarter, 2 cents ahead of the current average estimate of analysts polled by First Call. Revenue is forecast at $176 million, which would be 49 percent above revenue in the same period a year earlier. The company attributed the strong results to a favorable pricing environment, strong backlog visibility, and robust demand for all of its product lines.
