That's a lot easier done when you're cruising at 30,000 feet above the forest than when you're one of the trees. Especially if you are still recovering from the last forest fire.

Foundries have been adding capacity as fast as they're able.
but they can't possibly handle the entire industry's growth.

Even INTC underinvested, and gave AMD an opportunity to take some share and build some credibility for its Athlon processor.

It's a natural human response. Once burned, twice shy. The pursestrings will be loosened gradually. As I said, this is ideal in terms of prolonging this cycle.

And sooner or later the market always gets it right. In the interim, I believe an excellent buying opportunity is presented.
