Mani

AMD reiterated recently their targets which means that the sales are ok and everything that goes along with it - production, demand, chipsets, etc

FLASH is a concern, IMHO, but mainly from the stand point of increased spending but either way I find it hard to believe that that might account for 30% drop.

The othe tech may or may not be overvalued but it makes only marginal difference for the underlying value of the stock.

So it was eithr overpriced before or under-priced now or both. Well, it is hard to believe that is not under-priced now (relative to the value), JMHO.

Mani, as for "availability of AMD powered machines getting less," I looked in Fry's last night.
More AMD machines than ever, both HP and CPQ 1000 MHz, mostly 800 MHz and above, more Athlon machines than PIII. One house brand Duron machine, in a row surrounded by Celerons. The K6-2 totally disappeared except a couple notebooks. Thats loss of market share in units, you are right.

I agree with your comments on CSCO, EMC, SUNW, DELL, NOK and INTC. The analysts keep herding everyone into the same onld stocks.

If you are looking at Jan 03 leaps, I would just buy the stock on margin. Its only $29 a share now. ;-(
