Frankly I still own the zero coupons Bob recommended 15 years ago. I realize he has a good record in market timing. But I think he's hanging on to the tail end of a correction here, not a bear market. What do you think the downside is for a co. like LSI. If we have naz 2000 lsi will be half the price. Amat will sell at 7 times earnings. This is the soft landing. Bob bet that since it is not inevitable to have another Greenspan soft landing, we would have a harder one. I am an observer. I dont see retail sales staying soft. I loved the csco and amat numbers. What we have is earnings catching up to multiples. But positive thinking will return with no new rate hikes, the labor day return from vacation which means analysts and fund managers must think again, and the fact that this an election year with 2 candidates that wont kill the golden goose.
