SW - Never like to disagree with you but I don't think its fair to put the question to Dr Levy that way. You might PM it but the way its put it might be mistaken for a little aggresive.

Those of us who fell in love with this idea/wcii were all there when it was at $60, at $50, at $40 even now only hours ago ( it seems like an age) at $30 but hope is a very expensive emotion. This time its getting clobbered in after hours and the selling just hasn't stopped. We fell in love with an industry and so did thousands of others and that brought in competition and out the window went the growth in profit and earnings. That process of unwinding the rational of the Clecs has only just begun IMHO.

BR might have done something about it by doing a deal with someone earlier. Maybe if WCII earnings came out a few days earlier than they do we might have caught the market in one of its rare up days. But BR didn't and the earnings don't and even if they had and BR had engineered a sale at $60 for stock in WCOM for example...would anyone here have sold???? Bet many wouldn't.

So we are where we are and it is very very upsetting. I seem to remember other occasions when you and I have moaned on the thread at the time I recall to the annoyance of SteveG, something which I always regretted.

Well this time it ssems to have a differenct feel to it. We are all waiting for the sumer to end in the hope that the autumn will bring on the buyers. I have an awful feeling that we are witnessing the end of the greatest bull in history and hanging on is going to prolong the agony. Got to get that hope thing out of the way.

BEst of luck and regards,

L

Hi SW:

Around March, I took some profits when the market
seemed to be getting ahead of itself, but I still
have holdings in WCII, NXLK, WMB, and very
unfortunately for me, GTS. I moved some money
in telecom equipment providers, semis, and software.
I am losing money, but compared to the summer of 98,
the current phase is quite bearable.

Also, I am quite diversified, and I have been out
of tech in 401k and 403b accounts for over 10 months.
In particular, I have done very well with an oil services
fund, and I think it is quite fortunate that OSX may peak
just as telecoms will bottom.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
