Hi Bosco:

The CPI excluding food and oil (who needs to eat or drive anyway) has been benign but not excluding is not benign. As more and more of the oil / gas costs filter into the economy (chemicals, film, plastics, tires, electric energy to run the machines and A/C's etc. we'll see the higher inflation in the non oil component.

The indicators I follow seem to think this will still be benign but I'm cautious at the momment.

Just me.

Have a good night.

Tim

PS I can tell you about a value stock I used to own with a very low PE. Remember APM. Ended up having a very high PE right before it went belly up (I was lucky on exiting that one with a minimal loss). KEM doesn't seem to be in the same boat.
