Soft landing is signalled by a lack of a recession caused by higher interest rates and reduced money supply - the Feds levers.

If growth slows to the target range (which keeps increasing each year), then the desired "soft landing" will have been achieved.

As long as productivity continues to improve, IMO, it doesn't matter how high this aircraft soars (as long as it has a pressurized cabin).

Exactly Ian.

Now, for some unexplained reason, everybody thinks they can see it without any solid evidence.

Thus the foundation for the idea that we are currently immersed in this 'doom' everyone is referring to. No need to look for horizons - the doom is all around us.
