Remember those suspicious individuals with Arabic features that were remembered in the vicinity of the Oklahoma City bombing?

What I remember was public speculation about the possibility that Arab terrorists were responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing. That was not in the least surprising, considering that it occurred not that long after the World Trade Center bombing.

But I do NOT remember any responsible public official stating categorically that the Oklahoma City bombing was indisputably the work of Arab "terrorists."

That is why I find Russian officials so reprehensible, because that is PRECISELY what they do: they state their suspicions as if they were fact. It is not, IMO, simply a "knee jerk reaction", but deliberate political manipulation and/or grandstanding.

We had a vivid description of John Doe II from the truck rental employees. He was also captured on security video near the Ryder truck.

After 4-5 days we were told he doesn't exist, it was just a mistake. I suspect he was a provocateur in a sting that went terribly bad.

It would be interesting to hear McVeigh's take on who John Doe II is, but the government isn't letting him talk to reporters.
