"I ignore noise and understand where it comes from."

Some carry their appalling noise about them, like Old Marley shaking his chains. Heavy chains are forged by hate, by malice and by intolerance. The "naive" are those who condone it.

"I wear the chain I forged in life," Marley said. "I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it. Is its pattern strange to you?"

"Captive, bound and double-ironed" Marley was, his spirit provided with "an infernal atmosphere of its own."

The difference is that Marley regretted what he did, and sought to make amends.

Kids are treasures at that age, take advantage of each minute.

When they grew older, they probably got disowned for disagreeing.
