Itaniums have at least shipped, even in servers that you can boot up and run stuff on. Might not be gold, but better than paper. Aluminum?

WRONG !!!

Every one of those Intel parts exists today and is either in the sampling stage or in small scale production.

On the other hand, The AMD Hamster is still a "paper-tiger".

Didn't you just LOVE all the industry support surrounding that HAMSTER paper launch ?

All the software and PC manufacturers fell all over themselves trying to endorse that "little critter".

Funny, I thought all those processors are already shipping in some form or other.

Meanwhile, AMD's Sledgehammer will be out around the same time as McKinley, and much later than Northwood/Gallatin (Willamette/Foster shrink).

By the way, Itanium is already running in 2-way and 4-way configurations. And this is on a supposedly "inferior" shared multiprocessor bus, not a "superior" P2P interface like EV6. Where's AMD's 2-way and 4-way systems?
