I am very aware of the fact that my statements are interpreted in the negative and that can come across as condescending and arrogant.

So maybe you should modulate? Have some mercy on the audience? Try to communicate in a way that is more pleasing to the listener/reader? Whatever your message is, without effective communication, it's lost.

That's a very interesting post.

Where I live there is a school dedicated just to home schoolers. There are teachers set aside just for homeschoolers to meet with. There is equipment available, and a full library. There are also art and music programs- as well as other enrichment activities. It's a super program and I was very pleased with it. But I wanted my children to be taught by people other than myself- and I think it has been a good experience for them. The peer group issue was also a problem. I prefer the kids in the public school we have chosen- or rather, I should say, I prefer the parents in the public school we have chosen.

I am extremely happy with public schools in our area. They are, unfortunately, better than most public schools (I say unfortunately, since I wish all children had access to the quality I have access to).
