Dan3,

That's why "business" systems from OEMs using Intel chips can't run faster than 866MHZ. In terms of system stress, 866 from Intel is the same as 1GHZ or higher from AMD.

How do you measure "system stress"? What are the units of measurement and their dimensions?

John

Re: "Even after the latest shrink, Intel cannot produce chips faster than 933MHZ in any significant volume"

Give it up Dan. It just doesn't wash anymore.

Lewinsky-Dan - Re: "AMD is calling Intel's bluff. GHZ CPUs are going to become moderately priced, midrange chips."

They sure are !!

And Intel is getting KILLED !! Their stock has collapsed almost 50% from their high of $97 down to $54 !!

And AMD is barely off their all time high of $73, hanging in their at $63 1/4 !
