David, beg to differ.

Strong demand for the laptops is causing the shortage. Sales are strong and will contribute positively to the 3rd QTR's bottom line. Sure it would be nice if they could sell more into this demand, but this is a cyclical business. Ramping up production to meet a strong cycle may mean more business now but over capacity can hurt when/if it slows.

The stock price is tracking my expectations almost perfectly. I took profits on part of my holdings today after buying as much as I could at 101 1/2. I think it will retreat a bit from a 120 resistance level, bottom, and then continue its march to at least 140, and hopefully to my 1999 prediction of 160, in early 2001.

Demand for IBM HW is very strong and IGS has turned their battleship around from the Y2K course. If you watch the news releases, you see a series of very positive wins in the services business. Third Qtr results will be very good, and exceptional based on a Qtr over Qtr basis.

Say what you will about the "quality" of earnings and revenue, but LVG and company are telling you in advance what to expect. No surprises from this outfit. Big Blue may be boring, but gosh, what a low risk way to make a few bucks!

JMHO.
