Yes indeed, like the one they promised GTW to lure them back into the fold. The facts of that set of promises were probably lost on no one.

And remember, inteL can only deliver what it can produce. Sometimes that can be a severe limitation. Though, perhaps not on what they are willing to promise.

I see this as an example of OEMs wanting some competition among their suppliers so OEMs will support AMD at some level to ensure this competition potential continues/expands. AMD still needs some competition among its chipset suppliers based on comments about Via's support.
