Lizzie,

Just saw your post after posting mine. I think that is exactly the right question to be asking. Investors are behaving as though there is another big downturn coming, just because big down cycles have occurred in the past.

What has happened is not necessarily what will happen. Understanding that may make you lots of money in these stocks right now.

I think that it depends on the sector. Certainly in networking and broadband communications, it is not as cyclical....or at least the cycle is large enough that we can't see the waves yet.

I think that one of the things that will smooth the cycles out is the expansion into international markets...specifically asia and south america.
